ANNOUNCEMENT

J/CUP AUSTRALIA 2025

The committee of the J70 Class Association Australia is very pleased to announce a new race series for the J/70 Class in 2025.  The new series, J/Cup Australia, will comprise four events to be sailed during 2025, two in New South Wales and two in Victoria.

The J/Cup Australia series results will be decided by competitors best results in three of the four events, using a low points scoring system. Competitors may elect to discard their worst event score or only sail in three of the four events.

The results of the series will be used by the Class Association to make nominations for the J/70 World Championship in Cascais, Portugal in August 2026.

As there is a transitional period between the current World Championship nomination system and the new system based on J/Cup Australia results, the current system will continue to be used to nominate entries for the J/70 World Championship in Buenos Aires in October 2025.

Schedule of Events

Please note the above schedule is only for race days, check-in and inspection may be required prior to the first day of each event.  A complete schedule will be included in the series notice of race.
